11 Months

Jacob is 11 months today!! I can't believe he is almost 1. It feels like just yesterday we were being pulled over for speeding to get to the hospital- love ya Honey!!! Jacob has had a fun month. He loves to stand and push Dallin's big trucks and garbage truck. He still likes to crawl and push his little cars and trucks around. He's been doing that for 2 months now and amazes me he already figured that out. He pushes things all around the house these days. Jacob will also now pull himself up and let go. He will stand for 10 seconds or so. He has been doing that for a week or so. He also will walk while holding on to just one hand. He is getting close to walking. It will be so cute to see our 2 boys walking and running around. Jacob only got 1 tooth this month. He now has 4 top teeth and 2 bottom teeth. Although I think a molar is trying to come up. We know when Jacob is teething and he's been acting that way the last 2 days. We just love our Sunshine and thank Heavenly Father he blessed our family with Jacob!!

Jacob doing one of his favorite things- pushing something around!

Jacob is close to walking by himself.

Jacob is talented. He got this cheerio stuck on his nose.

I wish I was really good and had taught Jacob to fold his arms. We aren't there yet. Maybe he was just practising but I thought it was so cute!

Again- pushing, pushing, pushing!

I have to laugh- Jacob loves to crawl outside. One day he took off and didn't look back. He will crawl under the truck and everywhere. He hasn't gone in the dirt yet. It's kind of funny because when Jacob tries to escape Dallin will say "Jacob in house" a few times.

Pumpkin

What a long 12 days it has been for us! At 16 weeks my doctor does blood work to test the baby's health. I wasn't too worried and didn't think too much of it until we got a phone call. My blood work came back positive that Pumpkin had a small chance of down syndrome. He had sent it back to be tested again on my 2nd due date and it still came back positive. Yes, I kind of have 2 due dates- Oct. 7 on paper and Oct. 3 from the ultrasound at 10 weeks. My doctor kept the Oct 7 due date and just said this one could come early. So they referred us to a specialist in the Valley for a level 2 ultrasound with a consult. Of course our luck they had a 12 day wait for their next opening. This test didn't change anything. It didn't change the love we have for Pumpkin. It didn't change how we would do anything for this little one. And it didn't change that we are so excited for this one to join our family. It was just a little scary and worrisome for a while. I tried to keep myself busy for the 12 days. I cleaned closets, shelves, dressers, just to keep my mind busy. The day finally came today for our appointment. I was excited but nervous. From what I had learned from a level 2 ultrasound, you get to see almost a clear picture of your little one. That was exciting!!! But we also knew, we could be the one in the odds they gave us. It was all up to Heavenly Father and the path he wanted us to be on. Today, we had a level 2 ultrasound where they checked for 10 points to check for down syndrome. All 10 points had no sign of down syndrome.

A Healthy Girl!!!! In honor of pumpkin we stopped on our way home and got a pink shake! I have to say, when I first saw pumpkin on the screen I had tears in my eyes. When she said it was a girl, Ryan said he got tears in his eyes. We are so excited for Pumpkin!

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to my amazing, hot, and wonderful husband!!! Ryan is such a good hearted, loving, and caring husband and father. He loves to spoil our boys. I know he would do anything for them. I love how he worries about me because I know he cares about me. My life is truly blessed because of him. He means the world to me! I had to laugh- I asked him how old he was going to be. He unsurely said 28 and then looked at me to make sure he was right. I told him it's his birthday and he should know. He just smiled at me. I love his smile and he always makes me smile! Happy birthday Ryan. We love you so very much always and forever!!!

PB and J

It's so crazy how your tastes change while being pregnant. With Pumpkin, I have started to like pb and j sandwiches. I never have been a big fan of them but lately it's all that sounds good at lunch. Also, I still am not a huge fan of orange juice or fresh eggs. We have a neighbor that gives us fresh eggs and I can't stand the thought of eating of them but just recently I have been able to eat store bought eggs. And I have been loving egg sandwiches. Ryan makes the best egg sandwich for me!! I also hate trying to figure out what to make for dinner. If it was up to me it would be cereal every night. Nothing ever really sounds good. I remember being pregnant with Jacob and loving sweets. Brownies and cookies and candy were our favorites. We will see what sounds good next week.

Cute Jacob

Jacob is so cute! I forgot to post these pictures on Jacob turning 10 months so here they are.

I had just put Dallin down and Jacob and I were playing. Jacob goes down 30 min after Dallin's nap. All of a sudden Jacob turned and headed right for Dallin's room. He stood up all by himself and even was hitting the door with his hand as if to say let me in and play Dallin. It was a precious moment. They both love each other so much!!!

I don't know why but Jacob likes to crawl into the family room the hard way. He will try to squeeze between the couch and rocking chair. Even if he doesn't fit, he squeals and tries so hard to fit. I guess going around the chair is too easy.

Life

Life aint always beautiful, But I am fine!
Life aint always beautiful, But what a beautiful ride!

This was on the radio this morning. I might not have gotten the words just right. It made me stop and think- my ah ha moment for the week. Life can be hard, life can have struggles, life isn't always fair but I need to remember how beautiful life is. I wouldn't trade my life, my struggles, my joys for anything. They make me a better person and make me strive to be better!

I saw this the other day too- crazy how somethings just stick out to you! After I heard this song I thought of this:
Sometimes you dont expect things to happen the way they do! But somebody else, far more powerful, and far more knowing has a different idea for you!

Life is beautiful!!!!!!

Girls and our Garden

Last week we planted our girls. I call our flowers my girls. I love taking care of my girls! We knew a storm was coming in but it didn't sound too bad and we had to go to Showlow to get my blood drawn. We probably weren't going back for 3 or 4 weeks. We were just so excited to plant the flowers but maybe we should have waited. The storm was pretty bad and the wind blew like crazy for a few days straight. Plus, we got some snow. We will probably lose a few girls but hopefully they will do well.

Dallin got his trucks ready to help plant the girls. You can see from this picture we even had 5 girls come back from last year!!

This is all of my girls. Yes, we had fun picking out flowers this year. Even Dallin kept saying more. The ones in the back aren't looking too good. I will post another picture in a few weeks and I know they will look better. As my mom said, they just need me to take care of them!!

This is one of my great finds! I got all 3 pots for $12. I loved them so we had to buy some more flowers. Dallin likes to help me move them in the sun every morning and then we put them back at lunch time. Dallin loves flowers also!!

This is my other great find! I got this wreath for $18. Ryan was tired of my red wreath. I love great finds!!! I did take the price tag off.

This is our garden. Ryan put straw down to help protect it from the storm. You can't see much but we are so excited for our garden. Ryan's favorite part is the middle box. It is all chilis!!! He came home with Dallin and a huge box of these with the hugest smile on his face. I had to laugh when Dallin wasn't too excited that Ryan destroyed his playground for his trucks. He loved playing in these boxes with his trucks and the dirt. He tried to get rid of some straw. That's why some is on the ground by the first box. He kept pointing to it and saying out. I had to laugh.

Dallin Gary

So I always update Jacob each month and thought it was time for lots of pictures of Dallin. Dallin is so much fun! He is our big helper in the kitchen. Anytime one of us is making something, Dallin will get his stool and be right next to us. He loves putting spices in but we have to be careful it's not too much (Ryan has learned that the hard way with eggs and salt). He still doesn't like the sound of the mixer and ran out of the kitchen yesterday and sat right next to me when Ryan pulled it out to make cookies. Ryan ended up mixing it by hand so Dallin would come back in. Dallin doesn't like most loud noises and sudden, unexpected ones really scare him. He loves going to nursery and helping to get the water for the other kids. As you can tell, Dallin loves to help. And he LOVES Jacob. He doesn't like when I pick Jacob up when they are playing. He will keep saying "Play Jacob". We are still working on playing nicely with Jacob. That's a hard part of his autism. He was doing really well and it seemed like we went backwards after he got sick with a bad cold. But, we are working on getting back on track and not pushing. He does a good job of saying help when Jacob is getting into his stuff when he doesn't want Jacob touching his toys. Dallin still loves puzzles, books, being with Dad outside doing "boy things", taking baths with his boats, watching Caillou and Noddy, and playing with Jacob. He has just discovered that cheese crisps are a good thing. He is still a very picky eater but I can get him to eat that which is new. He is doing great with his words. We work on them everyday. He also lately has this thing with calling little things "baby". It started to snow the other day and he kept saying "Baby snow". If we see little rocks he says "Baby rocks". Dallin is our Dallin and we love him so very much. We are so glad he is in our family and thank Heavenly Father everyday that he blessed us with Dallin. We love you Dallin!!!

Dallin having fun!!!

Dallin can play with his trucks anywhere and he will always have fun and be happy!

I made blueberry muffins the other day. It took a while but I figured out he was eating the blueberries and putting it back for another one.

Our cute Dallin that we love!!!

As you can tell, we bought a lot of flowers. Dallin kept going around the table and kissing the flowers and saying hi to them.

Dallin and Ryan were outside the other day working. Dallin wanted to wear Ryan's hat so Ryan got him an old hat of his and put it on him. Dallin wouldn't take that hat off. He loves that hat and will put it on when they go outside to work.

Jacob was taking a nap, I was in the bath, and Dallin snuck into the candy shelf. He got up but couldn't get down. I laughed when I came out and found him there. This is the first time he was being sneaky.

Dallin and his cousin, Hadlee, walking to Walmart. He loves Hadlee and will say "Play Hadlee" now. I always feel bad when I have to say no. He also loves to get a picture with her on it and look at it. When I say her name , he will just smile and give her kisses. We miss you Hadlee!!

Our boys playing in the car!!

Dallin with Ryan's cowboy hat on!

We found Dallin sleeping like this the other day! I guess he was comfy.
